The Beatles ANTHOLOGY 1 - This VINYL 3 LP Set is the FIRST (#1) release in a (3) THREE-Part Series. This RARE and Out-of-Print 1st Pressing UK album was released on November 20, 1995. The LP set was NEVER issued by USA Capital/Apple Records – ONLY British UK Imports of the LP set ANTHOLOGY 1 were sold in record stores throughout the USA in the mid-1990s.
In response to the success of “Anthology 1” (PCSP 727 / 7243 8 34445 1), Capitol/Apple Records USA THEN released both “Anthology 2” and “Anthology 3”. The ANTHOLOGY 1 Triple-LP Set includes 60 (Mono & Stereo) previously “ALTERNATE & UNRELEASED” Tracks of Rehearsal Takes, Alternate Takes, and Works in Progress of music recorded by The Beatles between 1958 – 1964, during The Beatles recording sessions for the albums: “Please Please Me”, “Introducing The Beatles”, “With The Beatles”, “Meet The Beatles”, “The Beatles Second Album”, “Beatles For Sale”, “The Early Beatles” and “Beatles ‘65”. Also included are some of The Beatles earliest recordings cut in Hamburg, Germany as well as their “rejected” Decca audition tapes. As a BONUS, "Free As a Bird," is included (a John Lennon track “finished” by the remaining Beatles in 1995).
This RARE Beatles 3 LP Set is a “Limited Edition” VINYL Record release. For a Complete Song Listing, please refer to the LP Back Cover photos shown. The LP Set is STILL SEALED and is Factory Original Warehouse/Store Stock that was recently discovered! This album is “Guaranteed Authentic”, and is NOT a “reproduction” - Do NOT be fooled by counterfeit imitations! Only “ACTUAL” photos taken of an “Example Opened Item” from our “private inventory” are used in our ads, to show you EXACTLY what you are buying. We do NOT use “canned, stock, generic” photos used in MOST listings, as they are NOT always accurate, ESPECIALLY in cases of Vintage Vinyl. Condition is BETTER than “LIKE NEW” (Amazon’s Highest Grade), as this LP is in Unplayed “STILL SEALED” condition!
The Beatles broke up officially in 1970 and the last album they recorded was Abbey Road in 1969. But each of The Beatles songwriters (Lennon, McCartney, & Harrison) released a solo album in 1970. What if the songs that ended up on those solo albums were released on a Beatles album instead? What would have been on this album?
With The Beatles Mono Box Set, The Beatles original mono mixes of their original UK albums are finally available on CD. But it's important to note that these CD's are not available for individual purchase.
Although you might not be familiar with her name, Astrid Kirchher was very pivotal figure in the history of pop music. Through her relationship with Stuart Sutcliff, she was the central figure that transformed The Beatles, then a struggling British band playing clubs in Hamburg's Kaiserkeller, into the band that would revolutionize popular music. When Astrid first heard The Beatles playing in the Kaiserkeller, she was drawn to the rebellious new type of music they were playing, rock n roll.
If you're like me then you already own every single Beatles album on CD. And if you're like how I used to be you may be somewhat suspicious of the idea of buying all of The Beatles albums on CD again because they are remastered. But once I learned more about the remastering process and what's available in the new Beatles box sets I became convinced that these new CDs were a "must buy" for me (and for all other serious fans of the band.)
